August 3, 2018 John chapter 10

Satan hates us!  He wants to destroy our life, our joy, and our fruitfulness. And yet he seems to easily convince us otherwise.  He gains his destructive control by tempting us to maintain control of our own lives.  To experience the rich and satisfying life Jesus came to give us, we must give up all control to Him.  King Jesus offers everything to those with bent knees and open hands.
Have you found the great joy of laying your life down on the altar before the good shepherd who laid it all down for you?

  1. Jesus is the Good Shepherd- our Good Shepherd. He leads us on the right paths and teaches us His ways. He can see down deep into our hearts, past he surface, past what even we can see, and YET HE LOVES US!! If someone you know could see everything you've done, everything you will do, everything inside of your heart, they probably wouldn't love you, at least not as much. But our mistakes and failures don't affect Jesus' love for us! Nothing we do or don't do will make Him love us more or less! He is truly GOOD! If you take God out of good, what do you have left? O! Nothing! There is nothing good apart from God! Nothing! But He is good. And He shows us in so many ways every single day, how good He is! Sometimes we aren't looking, aren't listening, aren't watching for Him to show us. But He still does, wether we acknowledge it or not! Sometimes when things are hard and we're struggling, we forget that God is good. Our pain becomes the focus of our life and we no longer care about others' pain because we forget that God is good through our own. But God is good! What's true in the light is still true in the dark! He is good! He knows what He's doing! He's in control! He's got this! He's holding onto you through everything that you do through! He is right there beside you, He's leading you, He's inside of you! And He wants you to know, that
    HE IS GOOD!
