August 8, 2018 John chapter 15
The progression of life of abiding with Jesus will lead to ever increasing fruit. He will be faithful to prune and refine us and move us from no fruit, to some fruit, to more fruit, to much fruit, to lasting fruit. A love relationship with Jesus will lead us to invest our life like He did. All of this will flow from learning to pray for the Father's glory in and through our life. Are you abiding in Him? How can you tell?

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit- fruit that will last - and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." Jesus is completely right. We didn't choose Him. We didn't want to. We didn't care. In fact, we ran in the opposite direction, just like Jonah did when God sent him. God is waiting for us to choose Him, because He chose us from the beginning! Before He even created us, He chose us! Before we breathed our first breath, He chose us! Because He wants us! He wants us to be His children, His own! He loves us! And He chose us for His glory! He lets us be a part of His plan to save the lost, set the captives free, and bring healing to every broken heart and every broken life! He chose us OUT OF THIS WORLD! To make a difference in the world! And to make a difference, you have to be different! Let's be different, let's follow Jesus, to see where He leads us! Are you willing to give everything you have and everything you are to follow the purpose for which you were created and called to?
ReplyDelete"Now remain in my love." These are powerful words of Jesus! He truly does love us! So much that He gave His life for us! And He wants us to day after day, night after night, come back to that love! He wants us to come to His loving arms to find rest! He wants us to know true peace in who He is! He is the King of Love! The Prince of peace! "Remain in my love." He knows that in this broken world, there are broken people with broken hearts and broken pieces that they can't put back together. He knows there are sorrows, struggles, trials, pain, hurt, loneliness, abandonment, rejection, brokenness. He knows. He understands. He was human too. He let Himself come down to our level to be with us! So He does know and understand the brokenness of our world. But what He wants us to do is through every storm, to find our foundation in Him, in His love, and His goodness, and when we do that, we will never be shaken! Through every current we are struggling in, cling to His love! He will bring you out of whatever you are going through! And through it He is working in you and through you! He is working for your good! He is with you, every moment of every day, every sleepless night, He is with you.
