July 9, LUKE CHAPTER 9

A farmer plows in the spring with faith that he will be able to reap what he sows.  When we place our faith in Jesus we are trusting His Lordship over our lives will bear fruit.  If a farm gave up in the plowing stage he would never see the harvest.  Even when it doesn't look like it, Jesus is at work in and through us to bear fruit for our good and His glory.  Never look back! The world can't satisfy.  Jesus is worth it.  He is our crucified, risen and soon to return King.

    "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Many people hear about the love and grace of God and they choose Him because they have this wrong idea that He will make their life easier. But that's not true. Following Jesus actually makes life harder. The world will hate you. You'll have to let go of things. It's not easy. But it's worth it! The life of knowing Jesus is the only life that has purpose! Jesus didn't come to give us ease! He came to give us a second chance! We messed up! But God still reaches down to us and lifts us up again and gives us chance after chance after chance! It's AMAZING! He loves us so much that He wants us to want Him! It's not gonna be easy! But I can testify to this: it is worth it!
