July 8, 2018 Luke CHAPTER 8
Jairus had just recevied news of his daughter's death. Jesus calls him to believe that the story isn't over. Jesus knew His power over death would bring this girl back to life. Nothing is to hard for the Lord. Regardless what hardship and hurdles we are facing, this command from Jesus applies. Fear and faith can't occupy the same place. One will displace the other. Which one is controlling you today?

In the beginning, God created a perfect relationship between Himself and us. But we broke it. We messed up and missed the mark and then there was separation. But God gave His ONE AND ONLY SON, so that we could have that relationship back! He wanted us! But we have still turned away. He has offered us the true life that can only come from Him! But we didn't care. We turned our backs on real life to get what we thought was life only to find that it wasn't. Sometimes when we hear the Word, the enemy immediately takes it away from us. Other times we get excited about it. But then when we face trials we fall away because we aren't rooted in Jesus, and He's not our foundation. Sometimes we hear the word of God and don't really care. We don't see the depth and reality of it because we are too busy with other things in our lives that take away what should be first in our hearts. But there are few people who find the truth, and hold on to it even in hardship. Those people know that the truth will not change even when their life does. What's true in the light is still true in the dark. And this is the truth: God loved us too much to let us go so He let go of His Son instead, and He will never ever let us go. He is fighting for us, and He has already won the battle. We just have to chose which side we're on. I choose Jesus. What do you choose?
