July 23, 2018 Luke CHAPTER 23

The amazing grace poured out on us at the cross is encapsulated in these words of Jesus. "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." Jesus took the Father's wrath for us. Even in the middle of horrific suffering, He set His heart on the mission of forgiveness.

    By His wounds we have been healed. Sometimes we think our sin isn't much, that we're almost perfect. But we are NOT! Jesus had to die on the cross to make us pure! That's how significant our sin is! Even if it had just been you, He still would've died. Then also sometimes we look at how big of a sinner we are. We look down on ourselves and think it's over, that there's no hope. But there is! That's why Jesus died! He died to make us clean! To redeem us! We sold our hearts to the devil, but Jesus bought them back through His own blood! That's how amazing His love is! His scars were for me! He was mocked for me! Every pain He went through was for me! And you! That is LOVE!! Love that we didn't deserve, that we couldn't ever deserve! But given to us anyway! Love that is willing to go to the cross and die to restore our relationship with God! Love that will never let us go! Love that chases after us whenever we stray! Love that never fails! Love found in Jesus!
