June 15, 2018 MATTHEW CHAPTER 27

Jesus' sacrifice opened up the way for direct access to the Father.  The veil has been torn! We no longer need a human mediator.  Jesus is forever our High Priest.  Spend some time today thanking Jesus for yielding up His Spirit even unto to death so that you can be filled with His Spirit and enjoy eternal life.

    On the day that Jesus died, many people thought that it was the end. That maybe He wasn't really the Messiah, the Son of God. But what they saw as the end, was really the beginning! Without Jesus, we wouldn't be able to actually be with God! We wouldn't be able to talk to Him without a priest. But Jesus died to make a way for us to be with God! He gave His LIFE so that we could have real life!! When Jesus died, the curtain in the temple was torn! That means that there is no longer separation between us and God! This is what Jesus meant when He said that He is the way! He is the way! The only way! And through Him, we can be in the presence of God! And the Holy Spirit is now inside of us! His death changes our lives! Without Jesus, we are slaves to our sin, but because He died, we are no longer bound to those chains that were holding us! We are free children of God!
